Lenzr really is the new Dumpdiggers Photo Battle

I started the site based on the knowledge I learned from Dumpdiggers and although the site is very different looking, it's still user submitted user ranked material - the membership picks the winners



Decent prizes exist to be won in three new photo contests that started November 2009


Ontario Tourist Attractions 2 photo contest showcases interesting travel destinations. The contest sponsor, Kanetix.ca specializes in delivering the lowest possible car insurance quote so people can spend more time and money enjoying their vacations.

Photos showing the magnification of small lifeforms are requested in Macro Photos of Life, a unique photo contest wherein Photographers are asked to use their macro lens to blow-up the appendages and actions of nature's tiniest subjects.



Sponsored by Ontario mobile app developer the software called ShrinkRay is a Device Management System (DMS) and an application toolkit that helps companies shrink their websites down to better fit mobile browsers.

Everyone in the Eat Local movement in Canada has already helped creat Locaboires, and this the photo contest prize is an Eastern Ontario wine tour in a bio fueled bus from Cobourg. The prize is a travel package for two adults that includes two meals and one night accommodation at the best Brighton Ontario b&b and the best place to stay when in the eastern Ontario (pinot noir) wine region.



Then there's Medicinal Plants in Nature which is a photo contest on Lenzr that hopes to some day be a field book filled with images of wild plants in their natural habitats. Roots and tree gum and wild mushrooms, and even fruit blossoms are welcome here.

Wildcrafting is the practice of selectively harvesting nature. Participants are encouraged to take only what they need. Lenzr hopes eco tourists will be satisfied with simply taking picture. Sponsored by an Ontario natural medicine clinic the winner gets $330 Neal's Yard Remedies specifically, a gift basket containing White Tea Eye Gel, Geranium & Orange Body Butter and Rosewater Toner. Everyday Tangled Web



Everyday Tangled Web asks Ontario photographers to take pictures of the cords and cables and chaos inside their homes and offices. The mission is to find tangles that are still functional.

Tell members where exactly you saw the wires... Its part of the human condition to cultivate chaos, can you capture the confusion in a compelling photo?

The prize is a Plantronics Voyager 510SL+ Bluetooth Headset System with Lifter that has been generously donated by an office phone system design and installation business in Toronto. This firm builds more effective business communications systems and uses Avaya phones and specialize in mobile solutions.

Also appearing on Lenzr this month and until March 1st 2010 is a local offering entitled Kids in Action which is a photo contest with few limitations. Indeed this is a wide open playing field for all types of photographers. Anyone with family can post pictures of young people being active to win a bright white smile, and a year's supply of dental products.
